Waco Family Retreat | 4BR, Game Room, Huge Yard | Near Baylor & Magnolia

This house has a great sized living room and dining room for larger groups. The back yard is huge. The kids loved the ping pong table in their room and it was nice for them to have their own area. The house was visually clean and comfortable. However, as of 07/12, they need to fumigate for bugs, which I let the host know. So ask before you book. Be aware that the icemaker in the refrigerator does not properly work. Buy ice. Don't use the counter icemaker. They are hard to clean and notoriously breed mold. The far right island drawer is broken- don't open it. The skillet needs to be replaced. You might want to bring one. The ceiling fan in the queen room doesn't spin. The water in the showers are HOT. Might be a summer thing, but supervise children. The key pad is on the door and lights up when you touch it. Otherwise its a smooth black surface. Disregard the lockbox. There are wasp nests on the porch so check before sitting down. The neighborhood is a mixture of rentals, older homes, and new builds, which felt odd, but was just a quirk. Very quiet.

Very open floor plan. We had 9 guests staying ranging from 14-65. The 3 bathrooms and multiple bedrooms were a must. Great house to sit and visit which was a goal for our trip.Check in and out was easy and flawless.Had issues connecting wifi with instructions posted but a quick message to the host, he solved thr problem. The neighborhood is a mix in propreties but we never felt unsafe.The ceiling fan didn’t turn on in one of the guest rooms but they provided a plug in fan.I definitely would not recommend walking to campus if thats the purpose of your trip. Uber is super easy though.

The property was good. It is an area that is regentrifying but was safe and quiet. It was near to Baylor and the downtown area. It was clean and largely comfortable although the guys would have preferred more comfortable chairs in the living room as the couch, while comfortable for the women, wasn't the best for them. The kitchen was serviceable but not overly stocked. We appreciated the auxiliary ice machine on the counter as the ice maker in the refrigerator seemed to have an issue. The beds were comfortable. There was a large washer and dryer. The house was large and we enjoyed the big dining table and island. All in all, I would recommend this property and would be glad to stay there again.

Stayed for a Baylor football game. Location was convenient to Baylor and Magnolia Silos. Neighborhood is in transition but was quiet and we had no issues. The open living/dining space was perfect for our group. Property was well-stocked with paper goods and other items needed.
